Meet the Lauten Design and Construction Team

President

Drew Lauten

Drew has over 20 years experience in the building field. Four of those years were spent in Asheville, NC gaining hands-on carpentry experience with different companies and working on a wide variety of projects. He grew up in Loudoun County, working summers and weekends for Lauten Construction before going off to get his Degree in Art from Savannah College of Art and Design. Drew is currently the full owner and President of Lauten Construction, bringing energy, enthusiasm and his own unique style to our projects. His hobbies include woodworking and flying model aircraft. He currently resides in Lovettsville, Virginia with his wife, Kristin and a menagerie of animals that include dogs, cats, chickens, peacocks, goats, and horses.

Robert Lauten

Robert retired about five years ago, and acts as an consultant by providing access to his wealth of construction knowledge gained, on occasion. Robert enjoys over four decades of experience in construction. He knows about building things to last. He loves working on old buildings and has learned a lot about historic construction materials and methods by taking many old structures apart and putting them back together. He keeps up to date on construction technology by following the trade press, attending shows, classes and seminars, and participation in industry associations. Robert’s civic endeavors include: past Chairman of the Town of Purcellville Economic Development Advisory Committee, past President and Director of the Purcellville Business Association, past Director of the DC Metro NARI chapter, and long-time youth sports coach. Hobbies include hands-on building, gardening and riding his Harley Sportster.

Aaron Kilgore

Aaron has been with Lauten Construction for many years. He grew up in Loudoun County and is a Marine Corps veteran.  Aaron likes working outside and tackling new projects.  In his free time, he does trivia and enjoys music and concerts.

Kelsey Petercsak

Before coming to Lauten Construction, Kelsey worked in Parks and Rec. She lives in Little Washington on a small farm.  She enjoys taking care of the animals, gardening, crafting, and working on home improvement projects with her husband.

Project Manager

Mike Coe

Mike has over 30 years of construction experience as a helper and journeyman, and is currently a master level carpenter. In his career, he has worked for several of the top builders in the Western Loudoun area, and has been with LCC for almost 20 years. As a project manager, he has been responsible for supervising the construction of several large residential projects and a few light commercial jobs as well. He is a talented and versatile craftsman, and gets rave reviews from clients.

Brian Lester

Brian started with us in 2013. He is an excellent carpenter, a good mechanic, and great with customer service. Brian says he likes to be able to take an idea or simple drawing and bring it to life, and he has demonstrated the ability to do this on several fine projects. In his spare time he works on his collection of cars and projects around the house.

Valeriya ‘Lera’ Mallonee 

Lera is our in house designer. She studied at the St. Petersburg College of Architecture and Design in Russia and moved to the U.S. in 2013.  We met Lera when we were remodeling her house!  She enjoys spending time with her dog.
